For sale: My 17" LCD, OHP, Ikea reflectors, Lexan XL10, etc...

Having been a lurker here for some time as I assembled my DIY LCD, it looks like I'm going to need to shelve my plans and sell off the parts due to some financial (and space) issues. My first messages may be my last

I'm looking for offers on the following parts:

- I have stripped a Dell 1703FP, so it's a Samsung LTM170E6-L04 17" LCD panel. It's extremely similar to the 1702FP shown with extensive disassembly instructions here in the forum. It's 1280x1024, has DVI, VGA, a 4-port USB hub, and has very nice contrast. It seems very comparable in picture to my Dell 2005FPW daily user.

- I have a 3M 9100 OHP. It's a little beat up, but still quite useable. I got it free because the fresnel was beat up and the glass was missing. I intended to cut a piece of Lexan XL10 to replace the glass and kill two birds with one....sheet of (plexi)glass, but that plan is cancelled. It comes with two used ENX 380 watt lamps. The projector has a doublet lense, retracting arm, cooling fan, and brightness, color, and lamp-switching controls. You can probably swap the lamps for brighter FXLs or add a household light dimmer as I was about to do so as to wire both lamps to run simultaneously. I have no idea how many hours of life are left in these bulbs, but others here have stretched them far longer than their officially rated life-useful at least for testing. According to the manual, the mirror in the doublet lense overhead assembly is a first-surface mirror, but I don't know about the one in the base.

- 2 pack of the polished Ikea napkin holders. I bought these "just in case," but don't need them now. I've polished cases, car parts, and CPU heatsinks, but this is an excellent finish that I probably can't beat by hand.

- Lexan XL10- This UV-blocking plexiglass/acrylic is apparently not available at all Home Depot stores, but mine has it in a number of sizes. I have several pieces in a range of sizes, so let me know what you are looking for.

***More on the Dell 1703FP LCD- I have already disassembled the LCD from the monitor, so I will ship it carefully packed and ready for experimentation. I currently have it securely mounted in its original frame, which even has spots for machine screws on the side. The CCFL inverter does NOT need to be plugged in for the panel to operate. You can have the rest of the original monitor parts if you want them--but I'm sure that will add another 5-10lbs shipping weight.

Message me or reply here if you're interested in a pre-stripped monitor or my other parts. I played just long enough to get a beautiful picture filling my living room, but now my work is potentially your gain. I'll wait to see if I get interest here before resorting to an eBay audience...
