For all those who bought a kit with parts same as availible from diylabs, yellertwo, etc... Can I have the measurements (LxWxH) of the setup (from socket to socket with bulb mounted)? I am trying to see if I can fit this into my OHP, and I cannot find this info anywhere. Any info is appreciated!
And!:
If I end up not using the kit, do they sell for reasonable prices on ebay? If I cant get this working id like some money back! LOL! Thanks

Well I just measured it roughly.. Ive got it at 7 1/2 x 2 x 2.. you'll need more space (maybe an inch?) on top to be able to put the bulb in. These measurements are a bit on the large size, but you need at least this much space to put it in.

I was also just wondering, most people seem to use the 250W MH bulbs, is a 150W just not bright enough? I just wondered if it ever seemed TOO bright, or if 150W is just not enough for a 15" monitor panel
I wouldn't say 250w is too bright, without the LCD on yeah, it's ridiculously bright and it hurts to look at, but as soon as you throw the LCD on, 70% of the light (just a guess) gets cut off and you're left with a very not-as-bright square. Then when you turn the LCD on, it gets a bit brighter. I still wish it was a little brighter, but in complete dark settings, its perfect (not too bright, good colour reproduction at 4200k, good contrast).
No idea how much of a diff between 150w and 250w.. but I'd definitely not want to go any dimmer than what I have now.
