foobar + asio playback timeout

hi all.

actually i experienced this since pretty long time ago but i always forgot to take an SS and ask it here 😛

this problem comes after i installed ASIO no matter how low or high the latency i use.

it's pretty annoying since sometimes foobar frozen and makes an annoying noise when i skip a track without pausing or stop the playback first.

currently i use my internal codec (realtek).idk if i use my USB DAC since i have no speaker for now.

is it ASIO bugs or there's something wrong in my configuration?

thanks!

i see..so the problem is just because this crappy chipset didn't support ASIO?.do i need an external components?.

thanks!
In your case it is better to use WASAPI since the objective is to skip the kmixer and his low quality resampling
Here is the plugin !
foobar2000: Components Repository - WASAPI output support

Yeah i think any realtek chipset support "real" ASIO

P.D: Don't use sample rate over 44.1 o 48Khz, because the realtek chipset have a very bad resampling algorithm so avoid that

ASIO is just a low-level API to the driver, any soundcard can offer it if its manufacturer bothers to write the driver conforming this API. It is no property of the physical hardware.

What specific problems do Realtek Intel HDA codecs have with higher samplerates? The hardware does not resample, it runs at that samplerate natively. Only the HDA data link between the HDA controller and the codec runs at 48kHz at any time, the required samplerates are achieved by using one, two, or four samples in the data packet.
