FONS CQ30 turntable

Hello all;

My best buddy died yesterday. ANy hints on one for sales, or better yet a repair facility ( hopefully in North America ) which could repair it would be greatly appreciated.

Love the look of diyaudio.

Thank you for the quick reply.

For the last couple of weeks, it has been hard to start rotation.
Sunday morning, no rotation.

We changed the three semiconductors which we could read, and there is proper voltage to the board, but zero output voltage to the motor . . . our suspicion is the oscillator, but we could not read the number off of this transistor.

So a contoller board problem... a competent tech should be able to sort it... i'll check with my local hifi dealer and ask if they remember who was doing Fons in Canada.

D1-D5 Ba 317 D6 D9 1n4004 Zd1 ?( 9.1 v) not sure.

Just an update.
Tomorrow we willl be back at this turntable with new parts to replace all existing ( including 30 year old caps )

Many thanx to all, and I will post results when complete.

We changed all of the components, and the unit returned to life.
We did find a broken capacitor, and are having trouble getting its value as it is old and English ( Scottish ).

I would love to change all four of these condensors, but do not have the values.

Any help greatly appreciated !!
