Heres the complete photos, I'm curious if I built a base for it with a swooping mouth extension, similar to the frugalhorns if that might just give me a little more in the low low end.

Any suggestions?

Looks great.

Adding a little "flare" to the mouth will likely have no effect at the frequencies you're most interested in. The only way to make a horn play lower is to make it longer, but your driver had better be up to the task as well.

1/4 of the wavelength at 40 Hz = 7 feet
1/4 of the wavelength at 20 Hz = 14 feet

As you can see, adding an octave to the low frequency response doubles the horn length required.
