Then that must be a Roman numeral V (for 5).
It is, there are Fluke 87 series I through V. Though the series II is not denoted as such, there are small changes done to the series I that result in the series II, the biggest being they are IEC CAT rated. The series IV was sort lived and went on to become the 187, after Fluke realized they changed too much.

Most very old Flukes will have significant problems in my experience, maybe 4 out of 5 of them.
Of course, most other DVMs probably will also.

My 8050A is still kicking on all ranges after almost 40 years and is as accurate as any of my meters. By the specs it is as accurate as many recent handhelds >$200. Many of these meters have been calibrated for decades and their voltage references are very well aged. 😉

Of note on the accuracy front, the $3 Harbor freight meter I picked up as a disposable "loaner" or "car" meter is as "accurate" as any of the ~$50-200 handheld meters I have access to, but the lead connections are wonky sometimes, and I wouldn't feel safe using it on house current.
