Floor Lining for Spiking and Bass

I am about to line a suspended floor for improved sound isolation and wonder what the best lining material is for speaker support.

I can choose between cheap chip baord for flooring, 5 to 15mm ply, or lossy thermal insolation composition board.

Whatv is the best material for spiking speakers for best bass performance, lossy or rigid?
