Hi,
I'm looking for a circuit/design that will play once a prerecorded track of about 10 seconds at random from a choice of around 5 different tracks, when triggered by a external switch. I've looked at the ISD chips, and am concerned by the sampling frequency - 12khz maximum. I thought using mp3 would be better, does anyone have a link to a schematic for this? I've seen some of the open source DIY mp3 players, (http://www.techdesign.be/projects/020/020.htm , http://www.ladyada.net/make/minty/index.html , etc) but the random play of a single track doesn't seem to be very common.
any advice greatly appreciated!
James
