Hello everyone Im new to all this audio stuff but I can build like a mofo . So i have a 12" JL AUDIO 12W3-D4 just sitting around and came across these "TUBA" cabinets. Not to sure of which 1 i want but its for my computer pretty much And I'll Be running it off a 250 watt sub amp. Can someone help me with which design will give me crazy bass to blow these walls down with please . Im really getting into this audio thing here but Im a single dad of a 6 and 10 year old here both girls so I am constantly involved with them and there stuff and have minimal time for me lol. But a point in the right direction or if someone has any plans for me I could go ahead and start building (This build will take months before completion with all my "ME" time i dont get ) lol any help is greatly appreciated and thank you all in advance here

Yes those are the ones but I was going for more of the PA type. But yes I just joined that forum also a few days ago . Im just looking for a CRAZY bass cab i can build and hopefully not have to pay for it . It does not necessarlly be one of his designs .......I just need INSANE bass thats all

How do you define "insane bass"?
What room size?

Definitions of insanity will vary.
FWIW, the last time I experienced bass I'd consider "insane", it was a line of 16x 18" horns driven by big QSC amps. That was blurry-vision loud on every note.

I want to build something that shakes the living **** outta the walls in my house. Something that can deliver bass you feel through your body and that makes it hard to see cuz my eyeballs are being vibrated so hard. And if theres any way to make it hit so hard I have to take short breathes ya know like how you have to in a vehicle with a good bass setup . Thats the kind of bass im looking for lol. And yes I can build stuff and materials are not a problem. I just need help with calculations and design please

Chris now that sounds like fun right there ! Way RAD dang I want to do that or just have the capability to be able to do that for sure.......

Okay, how big is your listening room?
The 16x 18" horns was in a pretty large room, and you can scale down (to some extent) in smaller spaces.

Given what you've said so far, I'd be looking at a couple of Keystones, loaded with the top-end B&C 18" units, and hit each one with a few kilowatts. It won't be small or cheap, but there's no replacement for displacement.

A tapped horn, or tapped horn hybrid tuned to ~ 20 Hz, with 250 W, placed against a wall (or corner), should be able to get close to that level IF you're standing right in front of it AND with the right music material. In that case it's doable with the driver you have.

If you don't play music containing low notes, I would look at either 2 x 18" reflex cabinets or 2 times the Titan 48, with at least 500 W each to achieve something similar. However you are now achieving it by shear SPL, meaning discotheque levels.
