The voltage was 18.89v no load..sorry forgot to mention that in my moment of TRIUMPH.

Cool.. 4 volts drop.. not too bad, beats 25!! Don't forget to heat sink them (and remember that the neg reg will have voltage on the heatsink!) if they're too hot..

General test, if you can't keep your finger on it for more than 5-6 seconds or so, with their full operating load, it's probably above 50C and you want to cool it.
