Fix Fender Sidekick 15

My firend gave me a Fender's amp, Sidekick 15. I instead to look at the voltage (110v) stuck the plug to the 220v and now the amp doesn't work. Can someone help me, what can be done in order to get it to work

Does the indicator light come on? Smell anything bad? Are you comfortable taking the thing apart? Look for burnt stuff, blown fuses ect.

Hopefully you saturated the power transformer and only popped the fuse.

No light, nothing... but there is nothing burned. Attached a picture of the amp. What should be done in stages.

I fear your transformer is dead. You say "no light" and the power LED is attached to the rectified side of the transformer.

To be sure do things step by step

1: Measure the AC voltage coming out from the secondary from the transformer. Check the fuses, if no AC is coming out, call Fender for a new transformer. (if u mount the new transformer, make sure the transistors in the circuit are not damaged, check them all! if there is AC continue to step 2

2: Measure DC after the rectifier, enz. enz. Go deeper into the circuit till you find the point where there is a failure.

But I am almost sure your transformer is dead.

Euh, first check if you have 110V AC on your primary of the transformer.
Maybe that fuse is dead...
Then go on like Sebastiaan wrote...

Thanks guys for the help. I managed to fix it. It was the transformer, I got a new one and it works just fine.
