I would estimate that the completed F5 would weigh about 50Kg, depending whether you want dual Mono-Block (ie two mains transformers) or Stereo (Shared PSU.
This is based on the weight of my Aleph 4.

Have you contacted FirstWatt's european distributors to see if they have any on hand?

Maybe someone would be interested in building one on demand for me....
Ask Papa if he will license his design to your builder.
The biggest problem with getting someone else to do a DIY build for you is that everyone has their own standards.
I do not doubt that a lot of people could build a functional and safe amplifier for you. But at the money that we are talking about are you going to be happy with the results.
It really needs to be someone local and a friend.
What you are asking is for a contract which is against copyright law.

I ahve already contacted a friend who does get involved with electronics as a hobby.
Since he lives close-by we will be able to make it together...

Hi CENTRAL,
If you are looking for a case similar to the one in the previous post I think that it was most likely sourced from here www.modushop.biz.
That is where I got the case for my F5 from and it looks exactly the same. I would heartily recommend them for cases with heat sinks (Pessante dissipante on the website) for delivery within the EU, their prices are pretty good and they will apparently do customisations if you require (I just went with a stock case).
I went for a 4U high, 400mm deep for the F5 and it runs not too hot and has plenty of room inside for PSU etc.

As we speak the project is being initiated... components sourced, details layed out!
I think I will get that case too. Solid and at a good price...
Oh NO. The DIY bug has bitten - There is NO CURE.
There's just one more thing to say...
