FirstWatt and ribbon tweeter

Dear forum

Speaker and amp matching is always a delicate matter. Certain combinations just seem to enhance each other.
For many years its been good advice to match (beefy) current-amps with magneostats and I can certainly verify that my former Magnepans got better with ever more "juice".

Now, I wonder which of the amps in the First Watt range might be particularly good at driving a (fixed impedance) ribbon tweeter in an active bi-amping setup.

Any thoughts ?

Kind regards

6 Ohms // 86 dB

Hey Nelson - speaker in question is the Analysis Audio Omega

Analysis Planar loudspeakers OMEGA.

Impedance is 6 Ohms and sensitivity stated as 86 dB. To consider is that dipole panels // ribbons should measure 3 dB less than a normal pressurized driver (-I´ve been told....?). Fact is that these speakers are much easier to drive than my previous Maggies, and my Aleph J is almost suffice on these large planars.
-just a bit more bi-amped headroom would be lovely.

Looks like it's a matter of power. Biamping with an
active crossover will take some of the load off, with a
passive crossover, not so much.

At 86 dB sensitivity I personally could live with the SIT-3,
J2, F7, F5 and so on, but then again that is me.

Your results might vary...
