Hi all. Hopeing to build my first diy preamp. Ive done many diy loudspeakers but havent really gotten into diy amps. Any suggestions on good start off ones?? Thanks in advance😀
Probably just a turntable. Its a NADC555. I get alot of slack for just doing speakers, so i thought id give a preamp a go
Right, a turntable is probably the most common preamp, because you have to have one - what you're looking for is an RIAA preamp, and there have been various types over the years on these forums.
It's a very controversial subject, with people often defending their personal favourite over all others.

At your situation, I would prefer the diy projects from Mr. Nelson Pass because these are very diy friendly, i. e. ideal for beginners and on the other hand you get one of best sounded devices, if you work carefully. Regarded preamps go to the follow PDF URLs:
