First time help

I am trying to build my first tube amp. I was able to get some parts from a friend and I was wondering if you guys could tell me if I have enough to get started, or if I need to buy some more tubes. I have a matched pair of 12AX7 tubes and a 5Y3GT rectifier tube to use for the power supply. My goal is to build a mono amplifier and speaker combo to use as a desktop iPod player. Any advice that you guys could offer as far as suggested schematics of component selection would be greatly appreciated.

Yea, look around at the trift shops for a tube console and scavange it for transformers and other parts. Or look on these forums for a specific design and source the parts new.
There really are a lot of complete designs here at DIY audio. More digging 🙂
