I've almost completed my first ever DIY project and I'm really enjoying the sound of these! The most impressive part was dropping the top speaker into the cab while playing music and hearing it go from a "thin & tinny" sound to the "full & musical" sound these babies reproduce. I'm debating redoing the cabinets in plyboo now that I have a table saw (cut these out with my circular saw) and can make them nice and square plus I think the bamboo veneer looks pretty sharp. Has anyone built these with the Alpair-7's instead of the CHR-70's?

I have a Kenny Dorham CD that sounds like you are sitting in the front row with these! At lower levels rock even sounds pretty darn good (at least to me and that's what counts).
