Thanks so far for advice in my first thread.
I have decided to start simply, with a project 2-way from www.mass.com.au, using the following:
Vifa P17WJ-00-08
Vifa D25AG35-06
all info at
http://www.mass.com.au/sitemap.htm
under MP17H design link
Has anyone built this?? How does it sound - these drivers seem to be used together a lot.... I assume they work well together....
I have 2 questions to start off (and sure will have a million more soon!)
should the woofer be isolated from the tweeter ie does the enclosure volume refer only to the woofer?? or does this not matter....??
is it worth forking out extra for very good quality components for the xover or will plain jane middle range stuff do......??

A tweeter comes in its own "enclosure" so you don't jabe to worry about it.

Sometimes... If you are working up an XO, i'd start with modest parts until you get it where you want and then you can start subbing in better bits.
I think Andy Graddon has used that Vifa pairing... you might want to chck his site for a series XO.
