Just for the record, Audio Power and Connex didn't sent their promised SMPS-s yet. I don't know why but before testing them I could not say anything about their regulated SMPS-s in correlation to First One.

Up to now my recommendation goes to Hypex's SMPS1200A400 only.

I'm sorry, I think we're just in time to test your amp, considered the release for March.
As I explained before, I do not have AudioPower at home.
I am MDI with employees, and AudioPower is located at 100mt, with other employees.
Obviously I have some special agreements.

Well, I have two DPS-500-S on my table from last week (along with a mountain of tests on other products). I hope to send this new week.
You and others are right that choose free,but from a purely technical point of view, the DPS-500-xx is the solution. I can tell you, just because it is a measurable fact also.

I push for the DA version, perfect for the power of the first one. behavior is amazing with 200mV (61V) voltage drop on burst 350w (4R) and output voltage completely clean. change sound? ...immediately listenable, how much change the product spl obviously like the timbre, dynamics etc.

Both use same pcb version, the difference is in the power-units(trafo), just the "S" version is designed for high voltage.
I have re-tuned version of the "DA", dedicated to the first one amp, the savings is about 65 €, complete set including Nichicon audio grade. One problem...in case of gb, i can offer only 25pz D/A version.

Lazy Cat; Is it possible to know the size of the internal frame that you imagine for the first one? Is there possibly a photo?

Would your frame be compatible with the DPS-500-xx or other smps module?
