Hi multi-wayer,
First post here, I used to build no xover speaker ;-)
I'm the owner of an old lady, Sonus Faber Electa Amator II and I like what they give me.
I would like to challenge them and looking for a two way who will outperform them.
Bookshelf, floorstander, whatever.
Room is small, around 15 sqm, budget is flexible.
Any idea?
I like that kind of speaker:
Ellipticor-1
But some bad reviews about tweeter measurement are online....at that price...and the best component doesn't give the pbest performance ;-)
Any idea around that enclosure (available as flatpack, always good ;-)
Thanks

Should be easy enough with modern drivers and a decent cabinet. Have a look at Troels Gravesen's website for some ideas.

I may be wrong, but I've the feeling that Troels while being a great loudspeaker builder is also a JAntzen MArketing agent ;-)
Please correct me if I'm wrong

Maybe, some of those designs are pretty interesting though, also not cheap, and some are a bit ugly to have in the family room (imo). If I had the money, the Faital 3wc-15 would be a candidate.
I'm not sure about that but people try to get a job with speakers businesses. If (you) don't have one you try to work with brands, manufactures, market from the same country.🙂I may be wrong, but I've the feeling that Troels while being a great loudspeaker builder is also a JAntzen MArketing agent ;-)

old fashioned ;-) really nice, perhaps overkill for 15sqm
Are you looking for the challenge of designing your own? or a good kit?
good kit would ne nice
I'm not good for measurements
This is slim, more modern maybe, SBA-761
You should take a look at Zaph|Audio and Speaker Kits: Madisound Speaker Components also.
I don't know what your experience level is, I've never tried to design a speaker, but it seems there is a lot involved to do it right. You should definitely look at https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/planet-10-hifi/ too, Dave has designs, and can point you in a good direction.
