OK I started a project without the tools I need and so I am wondering if some of you could give me a hand.
I got a good deal on four of these speakers.

I would like to make a pair of mtm speakers for my mother using these. My problem is that I need to pick a tweeter and design a crossover.
I have yet to order a tweeter but here are the ones I am looking at.

I belive I am going to make a sealed enclosure that is .3 cft (double recomended for a single sealed). I had one online friend suggest that instead of making this a sealed mtm I should make it so the top mid is sealed and the bottom ported (has anyone ever done this?
Ok I don't have the software to model the enclosure or the crossover so I am wondering if anyone out here wants to give me a hand with this. Also if you have any ideas on if I should build a different type of enclosure let me know.

Well, I don't have the knowledge or tools to help you, but the drivers you mention are very close in spec to the Dayton 5-1/4", so maybe you can just build the Dayton Budget MTM design at speakerbuilder.net as a fallback plan.
I bought some of the P.E 299-706 midbass speakers as well. I haven't decided whether to go with just a single midbass two-way system or go with a MTM two-way system. There is a post on here where someone made a MTM system using these midbasses.

As for tweeters, I aam undecided as of yet. I have been looking at the P.E. 275-070 silk dome tweeters.

I am also looking at the North Creek tweeters. I have read about them on forums and people have said that they are pretty good.

As for crossovers you might search on this sight and search engines and read up about designing your own crossovers.
I am planning to build my own active crossover for my speakers and running separate amplifiers for each speaker.
Keep in touch with me on the speakers and I would be more than happy to help you with them. My email address is rdunn12345@yahoo.com.
