Indeed, More bass 🙂

I have hard time to understand a datasheet specs files : Relation between Fs (Resonant frequency) and Usable Frequency Range ... And moreover the Thiele and Small data ...

Well I try winisd for the Fane Sovereign 12-250TC. Modeling file available from loudspeakerdatabase.com website.

WinIsd tells :
- With a 125L bass reflex box : -2 dB at 45 Hz and -4dB at 40 Hz
- With a 125L close box : -3 dB at 60 hz

Regards,

The loudspeaker will reproduce sound below its resonant frequency so that the 'useable frequency range' will extend below the resonant frequency.

T/S data? You've got a lot of research to do there!

The reflex box's bass extension sounds excellent. My 75 litre reflex box example was -6dB at 45Hz and I'd be quite happy with that!

A really good question : at wich frequency a dedicated subwoofer isn't needed ?
It really depends upon what kind of music you listen to. An F3 of 50Hz is plenty enough for 'natural' music. Electronic-based bass and percussive effects can get down into the 30s and even 20s. If you want low freq extension then get a sub... they're cheap. A driver that can produce very low frequencies have typically heavy cones, and with that, lower efficiency. Also a heavy driver is not going to produce mid-range an upper mid-range as accurately. It's about the right tool for the job.

Hello Everyone 🙂

@jmproductions : Ok thank you !
@norman bates : Thx. But for now I'd like to work on a speaker.

So well, for the bass spaker I'm woking with monacor SP-300P now. Seems pretty ok for the job !
I need to work on the other HP, to build a two way.

Did you know any 8", full range, good for ~200 Hz to 18 kHz please ?

Thank you in advance !
