This is my first speaker project. I ordered the Shiva Sonotube kit from Raw Acoustics.

I did the kit because I am skill, time and tool challenged. I'm glad I did, it went togther fast and easy. It took a week only because I got the white fabrica and had to underpaint the sonotube and port.

The kit is complete in the box and goes together with basically a drill and screwdriver. The fit was perfect and well thought out. The only thing I added was the iron on Dancing Shiva on the front to dress it up a bit.

On top of that it sound great. Bass extension is great and it really adds punch to movies. I watched Seabiscuit on the weekend it sounded like the horses were in the room. I highly recommend this kit for a relatively cheap, easy and good sounding sub.

Great job! Does it sounds good with music only? More pix?

I haven't got it located in the right spot yet and integrated it correctly into the setup, but it definitly adds oomph to the bottom end. I need to grab one of the Avia HT setup DVD's and I am sure it will blend in well. I am amping it with an older Carver 100wpc stereo amp, that was sitting around, with one channel on each coil. Seems to work pretty well.

I can put some more pics up tomorrow.

Over how did the assembly go.
Looks great by the way.

I was impressed by the fit up and looks of the end caps and center brace. Fit was near perfect. I figured dealing with a sonotube would be a gamble, but it was a home run. The only difficulty I had was with the glue. It starts out thin and tended to run and not fill the gaps, even though it expands when it dries. It took several tries to fill the little gaps and I ended up getting a bigger bottle of Elmers Pro-bond wood glue to finish up the bottom cap. But this is pretty minor. Over all I'd give it a 10 on the 'cool' scale!
