- bingo!
Thank you for all those links! I have some of them but the ZX Spectrum project is what I am looking for!

I just finished mine, I opted for the sealed version to work with my subs. I couldn't be more pleased with them.

They're very good. They seem to nail that nice balance between being analytical enough to keep good recordings good but not overly so much that the typical stuff become a chore to listen to. Try a recording like Eva Cassidy's "What a Wonderful World" and then switch it to some classic Pink Floyd and you'll see what I mean. Paul nailed it when he talked about the frequency response of the Neo3 PDR, the small dip in it's response really lends itself to keeping sibilance down, but still giving a nice treble sparkle.

They do have a "character" though. To me, it's pleasant and relaxed, but they still have the ability to convey great dynamics when it's called for, such as Don Ross or Ewan Dobson tapping on their guitar body is still conveyed with quickness and impact.

I like them very much and it'll be a while before I can make something that usurps them as my main listening speaker.

Dr. Dyna build

It is awesome tO hear that!!!! Can't wait to build mine

Did you copy the cossovers part for part or changed a few?
Do you have more pics?
I am thinking of using higer quality caps and resistors on the signal path.

I am also thinking of doing a removable bottom so I canaccess the cross over from there and to glue the baffle to male it look more slick.

What did you use for padding?

I scavenged a few parts for my crossover, but the values are within a few percent or so. I used Erse air core coils for the woofer inductor and a spare Goertz foil coil for the other. I used a Mills 12 watt resistor and Solen poly caps. I'd take more pics, but the camera I have right now kinda sucks. As far as stuffing, I used plain fiberglass cut and stapled.

I've been thinking about cutting a new front baffle out of hardwood and securing it with t-nuts, but I haven't made up my mind yet.
