The right one is very "saggy," if you look at the glass you can see that it droops like it was not positioned properly while cooling. Is the right one sort of leaning or is the camera angle?
I'd wager if there was a minimum separation requirement for heat dissipation this angle would violate it. Sending it back...
Good. Tubes like that shouldn't leave the factory IMHO.Sending it back...

The function may be perfect, but nowadays the tubes aren't simple parts but arts. The orthopaedic appearence is not acceptable.
who sold it? assuming it's been tested & matched by the seller. ears don't care what it looks like, if the tube works good...
I'd be even more concerned over the quality problems which you can't see. I'd return the tubes AND look for a different vendor. You can never be too careful with the number of counterfeit tubes floating around out there.
Thanks, I'm give that a try.Reflektor 6P14P New Old Stock should be better and as cheap or bit cheaper
Ebay tube vendor, has good ratings. BTW, it's so crooked it won't even fit the assembly I'm making so it's more than an esthetic problem.who sold it? assuming it's been tested & matched by the seller. ears don't care what it looks like, if the tube works good...
Right. Unfortunately eBay isn't the place to buy tubes that need to be good. QC and accountability are shite. You're in the States, places like TubeDepot or EuroTubes not only thoroughly test the tubes they sell, but they also keep records so you can get a replacement tube with the exact same characteristics.
