Hi all,
First time post and speaker build. Modified the Lance TL speaker design. Wanted a full wood front. Wow. These sound insanely good. Thank you to the OP for the plans. Some pics below.

Thank you. Curious to find plans for a small 8” passive sub for use with these. Looking at using with the Dayton DTA-2.1BT which has a passive sub output. Not looking to shake the house but a little more tight bass would be great with these.
Beautiful. But why did you make a TL because the only purpose of a TL is to get bass? Perhaps there's another driver better for your goals.Curious to find plans for a small 8” passive sub for use with these... which has a passive sub output. Good point. They do have bass. But, greedy me wanted to see more. Don’t get me wrong they sound great. 🙂

The answer to that question is no.

Since when?

People tend to build these smaller 3" driver boxes for computer desktop use due to the smaller footprint. More bass requires a larger driver in a bigger box with a larger footprint. The newer 11MS should be close to ideal if you can tolerate a larger box. A Classic Golden Ratio cabinet should be a good choice assuming it exists. This driver is very new and available only in some areas. This will of course change.

We're going OT with the 11ms but in looking at the data sheet I find the FR curves rather scary. The 7ms looks much better.
I do like the look and positive accounts of the Lance enclosure. I'm sorely tempted to build a pair myself even if just out of curiosity as it's quite affordable and the small size makes it very flexible in terms of deployment. Is there a Lance equivalent for the A7/P7 et al ?

I've built 3 pairs of these, the first for my office, the second to replace my office pair after I gave them to my daughter for school use, and the third for the other daughter (twins) for school use.
Right now one pair is sitting next to my home computer, the second is still in my office and I don't know where the third is, buried somewhere in the debris of moving back home. All are powered by SMSL SA60 amps.

They look really nice. Great job on the build. I hope you enjoy them for years to come. Cheers Jeff
For an inexpensive 8”, if you can manage an approx 1.5 cu ft box

Wouldn’t be a rafter rattler, but I’d think this is an application where a “woofer”, rather than killer-sub would be more than sufficient to augment the FF85WKs

Partially done IIRC. Part of the not yet done Large Baby Lab series. Will be a paid planset. email me if you are interested.

Does a Classic Golden Ratio cabinet for the 11MS exist ?
Those are CGR dPlu-Ken11 with Pluvia 11.
Change the vent spacer, adjust the holey brace & install Alpair 11ms, it will become CGR dMar-Ken11ms.

I tried looking up the plans for the CGR dPlu-Ken11, but the link on your site appears to be broken.
