I had previously promised some pictures of my OB's. Now that I have enough posts under my belt, here they are. Proof positive that I have no wood working skills. :)

Here's an update for anyone interested. I got a DTA-1 tripath amp from Parts Express to power the B20's. While at it, I also picked up a small Behringer equalizer (9 band - full octaves). Also have been playing with speaker placement and toe-in. Noticed that some folks had pictures of OB speakers facing straight out (no toe-in). I tried that, but the soundstage seems to fall apart somewhat. Slight toe-in seems better - solid soundstage.

I also downloaded an app for my iPad called Audio Tools. It has 1/3 octave real time analysis and built-in signal generators (pink noise, white noise, sine waves, etc.).

Optimum settings so far are with the low pass on the APA 150 set to ~90 Hz. This provides strong low end augmentation from the Goldwood 1034's up to about 150 Hz with rapid roll-off above that. The APA 150 is set to full gain while the DTA-1 is set to half volume. The equalizer is then used to compensate for rising baffle response, dipole peak, and uneven frequency response from the B20's. These are now sounding really, really sweet and the "cupped hands" characteristic on some vocals is gone. I'm not sure what phase related ill effects the equalizer might be throwing into the signal, but to me they just sound smooth and open with a very large stereo image.

Here are some photos to show the set-up and in-room frequency response.
