To be honest the best thing to do is start off with proven speakers like these Altec 604 $900.00 a pair http://http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALTE...584174?hash=item3f5efd15ee:g:S18AAOSwG-1Ww~R9

These are the more affordable ceramic magnet versions and they sound amazing they are a legendary speaker. Here is another link for time aligned crossover schematic http://http://home.earthlink.net/~jmarkwart/id7.html

You can build the crossovers and cabinets yourself and you will be more than happy once done i guarantee it. These speakers excel at playing everything movies, rock, jazz, dance, whatever you want to play. Nice thing about buying the 604's is they are highly sought after and easy to sell and always increasing in value. And your in Europe so Altec are hard to find over there once you have them in nice cabinets you could maybe even sell them for a profit. But to be honest after you hear them on a good amp you would never sell them they are that good.

If these speaker don't get you hooked on HIFI then nothing will these speakers come out in 1942 and they still make them today at ( Great plains audio ) a speaker would have to be pretty incredible to still be in production after 74 years.
