well it's strange.. It's like the amp just has better control over the speakers.. I'm not measuring here... but for the same volume, the speaker cone seems to have a lot more force.. like, maybe the throw is the same distance, but the power at which it gets there is more.. I dono.. but if I touch the speaker cone w/ a different amp playing, it's pretty flimsy.. I can hold an edge of the cone in.. (don't worry, I don't do this often 🙂 ) but w/ the f2, it will push my finger out of the way.

And.. so imagine that w/ producing the bass wave.. it's just more crisp and clear. It's where it should be. The sound isn't bass heavy, but it sounds good.. where as before it was bass light.

also- in the end, these are all actually really subtle differences we're talking about, but we're building amps here. I'm being super critical and saying something has A LOT more bass, when in reality, a regular ipod only listener won't notice much difference.
(most friends of mine can't tell the difference between my 1989 boombox, my SET, and this F2.. It's just sounds to them.. then again, they don't see video compression either, which drives me NUTS)
