Ian,

I had remembered wrong. All three units are JBL d260. I have a fourth one (not pictured) that is an Ampex unit.

All three d260 units are 16 ohms and have cones in very similar good condition. The surrounds are tacky and limber. Yes, there are very minor depressions in the dustcaps--the flash photography emphasizes them. The dustcaps also have the twin felt damper dots on them.

Sorry folks, but I'm on a few days hiatus here. At 5:00 this morning, I delivered a son by the roadside--no kidding! We didn't make it to the hospital in time. About 4 miles short. 🙄

So...that was a new life experience... :att'n:

All's well that ends well.

Thanks for the word, AK. I always breathe easier when I hear a delivery has arrived unharmed. It's amazing what damage the handling gorillas can inflict along the way. That's why I choose extreme overkill in packaging.

I'd love to hear about what you do with that nice Tamura iron and tubed power supply. I'd like to put some of it to use one of these days myself.

Cheers,

Bill

Hey Bill, congrats on the new member of the household.

I know your busy, but when you get a chance could I see these drivers

Wharfedale Super 8/RS/DD pair (extremely nice!) -- $120
Wharfedale bronze pair (like Super 8) -- $40
Coral 8CX-50

Now that my young boy is getting older I have a little more time to build and these look like fun drivers to try.
