Hi folks,

Sorry for the delayed reply.

how much for the Alps motorized pots, and what kind are they?

They are a system of 3 20k ALPS log stereo pots sharing a shaft for 6 channels of closely matched simultaneous control. The attached motor allows you to add a remote control if you like. Great for multi-amp setups. $30

Regarding the Parts Express amps and Dynaudio D54 pair, terribly sorry--I forgot to remove them from my list. For the moment, they are not for sale. If you like, I'll alert you when/if they do go up for sale.

how much do you want for the Marantz PMD-321

$110. It's a great pro unit of extremely high quality. It plays disks just fine, but its display is on-again off-again. There must be a loose connection somewhere. I've found that its display stays on better if I put a shim under one of its feet, putting just a bit of torque on the case 🙂

Hi! I'm interested in either the Lafayette or Pioneer full-ranges... what are the sonic differences-- would you have any open baffle experience with them? Also, could you (possibly) compare them to a pair of Altec 403a's that I'm considering?

Thanks,
Andre

Hi Loek,

Sorry I didn't get back to you. I've been sick with a bad flu.

Your ALPS pots went out in Monday's mail. Transit time is 4 to 7 days.

The part number on them is RN277921. I'm sorry, but I don't have any more information.

Thanks,

Bill

Thanks for the well-wishes. 🙂

I think it's a simple DC motor. I'd guess the proper drive would be maybe 6 volts or a little more. A little experimenting should tell.

Have you seen this controller kit?? Very inexpensive, and it bet it would mate perfectly with these pots. That's what I plan to try.

Please post what you end up doing.

Drec, the Pioneers have been sold, and sale of the other pair just like them (Pioneer OEM for Hamlin's) is pending. I'd be happy to sell to you if the other buyer declines. Others have praised them for OB use (compared favorably with WE 755a!), but I haven't tried them yet.

I would like to purchase the Coral 103A's if they become available.

Mose, I'll have to see if I have another pair to sell. They've been selling like hotcakes, and I may be out...

Have you seen this kit

Yes Bill, i did a search on DIYaudio and came to this site.
He also sells 6 channel ALPS pots....
First i will measure the pot voltage and current in my Marantz preamp.
Maybe that circuit will fit yours also.
Greetings, Loek
