Sorry for being asleep at the switch Bill, literally. I've been very ill in bed the past couple of weeks. If this other gentleman needs those SP-12's that's fine.

It's not a big deal. I don't really need them for anything specific. I was thinking of fixing them up and trying them OB. They're sensitive enough that I already have tweeters I could put on top. Was just thinking it'd potentially be an awesome (and cheap) setup for my office at work. It'd be my first foray into wide range drivers.

I'm not good at decisions. So I'll defer to you rcavictim 😉 If you had plans for them, then by all means. I primarily wanted to nab the evm 15b's.

Rcavictim,

At your earliest convenience, could you please let me know whether or not you still want the SP12's? Then I can give Chris a total for what he's buying.

Thanks,

Bill

OK Bill,

If that shipping quote for $70.00 US via USPS to Canada is valid let's do this.
I can mail a International Postal MO Friday for a total of $90. I will be busy Thursday with a doctor appointment. Thanx!

Chris,

Very glad to hear your drivers, OPTs and tubed power supply arrived okay. I sent you a reply just now, but I'm not sure it will get through, so I'm hoping you see this.

I think your email must be spam filtering me, because I've sent you a couple emails about the stepped attenuator and didn't hear back from you. Please check your filter.

Cheers,

Bill

Sorry for the late replies, folks!

Post notifications from this thread don't seem to be making it to my email...

Ukylab,
Sorry, but I'm going to hold onto the JBL 2485 drivers for now. I'll have to get a bit more desperate for scratch before I let those beauties go!

Timbo,
I'll snap some pics of the Fostex drivers for you. I've got several sets on hand. I became sort of a collector after hearing them. One driver arrived with an open coil, so I chopped it up to learn more about its anatomy. I was very impressed by what I found. 8" coaxial driver with dual mirrored distortion-canceling spiders, breakup-diffusing structures on the back of the cone, and a large, thick solid-copper faraday cap on the pole piece extending completely through the gap. No wonder they sounded so good to me! I think they'd make excellent donor drivers for something like an MLTL--that's what I've always wanted to try.

Lazenna,
I really do need to update my list. I'm gearing up for another selling push. Will do ASAP.

Is anyone else in Australia interested in a pair of FE103a ? These are the Coral holey basket model, Bill is selling at $75 a pair, I'm interested but postage is steep. If two others in Aus would like a pair then postage is $54, split three ways, and he'll take 10% off the price of the drivers.

For info on the drivers have a search around the board, they have a good rep.

Please email me if interested.

Hi Mellow,

$75/pair for the TamRadio (Tamura) OPTs.

Do you live near TheVoice? 🙂 If he is willing to forward to you, maybe you could share postage with him. I can ship up to 20 lbs. to Australia for the same $54 charge. 10% discount on parts price would apply.

If you want your own package, the cheapest shipping I know of is $42, if I remember correctly.

Bill
