I pulled both bridges and checked them against a new, never used bridge: the one on the V+ side had a short: ~ to -.
Replacing it solved the problem! Thank you so much for your patience and knowledge!

Look back at the picture in your first post. To me it looks like the 2 long white it looks to me that they make a dead short between the + and - caps right after the 2 banks of .47 ohm resistors. What about disconnecting those resistors for a moment and see if you get the right voltage on that first half of the power supply .
woody - there is no shortie , look again ........
now , after repeated look , I'm sure that I made mistake regarding "yellow wire bridge at first pair of caps" ..... observed from side , bleeders wires are looking as shortie , but there is no one.
anyway , what I wrote about gnd rerouting , I hope it'll be more clear from this pic :

I'm sorry guys for photo issues. Yes the yellow "wires" are actually insulated leads for the 2.2K resistors specified in the schematic.
I wanted you to know Zen that I do take to heart your warning about NTCs hanging out in space. There is not spot to tie them down to a surface, I am out of space! I'll demonstrate when the amp is done. I was quite careful to insulate them everywhere.
Then there is the central grounding point - it is actaully just a bit "up" from the drawn point and does contain the NTC. That IS a naked joint right now but I'll not allow that later in the build. I need to make a cover for the whole cap bank.
Thank you again for your help. I am now happy, not crazy and a bit wiser for all your input! 😉

Are the secondaries Blue/Green and Blue/Green OOORRRR Blue/Blue and Green/Green?
Craig
With Antek, it is indeed blue-green, blue-green. But they are not interchangeable, must check continuity to see which blue goes with which green.
