I ordered a pair of the 22kuf/100v can caps from Apexjr, they arrived with dents on the side. I emailed steve about it, and i'm awaiting a reply.
My question is, is it safe to use these caps even with the dents? The bad one is about 1" around and 1/8" into the cap. It feels soft underneath the outer plastic insulator so i assume the aluminum shell is cracked.
They were also charged up when i got them, so i don't see how he's advertising these as "New stock".
These were supposed to be used in the Altec 9440a i'm rebuilding, so this puts the project on hold once again.
