You can change the 6.3V from "tube" transformers from AC to 6.3V DC quite comfortably. No worries about hum here even with the 6B4G.

It's a good idea to put the components on the opposite side to the valves (tubes).

Also worth including a hum dinger pot and dc elevation, as you are concerned about ac hum getting in to your signal path.
For myself also, hard-wired away from the PC board; many advantages. I don't even provide pads for heater socket pins, just big holes for those and no contact with the board.
