Can anyone provide any links to purchase a high quality C8 socket?
Very surprisingly my google/amazon/ebay searches got almost nothing!
This is the best I found:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...rue&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_4&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
It will be installed on a Rega turntable (replacing the long power cord).
Thx!

This is the best I found:
Amazon.com: Interpower 83011500 IEC 60320 C8 Power Inlet, IEC 60320 C8 Socket Type, Black, 2.5A Rating, 250VAC Rating: Industrial & Scientific
It will be installed on a Rega turntable (replacing the long power cord).
Thx!
Why not convert male and female to IEC?

Only reason is I prefer not do drill a larger than necessary hole in the Rega. The C8 is considerably smaller.
Otherwise yes a PC plug makes more sense. Both sockets and cords are far more easily available.
What is an 'audiophile' power inlet socket? I'm sure if you just want to pay a lot of money for one then someone would be happy to oblige.
Not looking to spend too much, but I am simply looking for a good quality component, as opposed to bottom of the barrel 4 for $2.99... Was looking to see if anyone has helpful suggestions/links. The amazon one for $10 seems to be the best option at the moment.
Why would we think the one on Amazon was any different from the others for sale elsewhere? It looks like the basic consumer-grade power connector I see on all sorts of mid-range stereo stuff and boom boxes.

Which is why I posted here for helpful suggestions...
