I powered up mine yesterday and other than a bit of hum no go. The main caps were gone, threw in a couple of 350V 22uF's and while watching the voltage across them rise while the tubes were warming up the voltage was going higher than 250V. Had it plugged into a power bar with my finger on the switch so I caught it quickly.
From the schematic I should have been seeing 260V on the output tube plates so it was a surprise. Put a couple of caps in series and this time let it go, ended up around 420V. Put an amp meter in series to check the current and had none, explains the high voltage. I am going to strip down the chassis and do a quick PI and output to determine what the FC speaker wants and then get it the heck out of the HV supply. I will feel much safer that way.
