Well...I think the 85's are a wonderful driver...very natural in their presentation...
The FH's is simply an amazing design...they are totally void of any type of box sound...
Put those two together and magic comes out!!!
When I first built an FH3 I put in a set of FE108EZ's...that was great...kinda made the 85's in the Lance sound "boxy"...that's not the case at all anymore...
I'm very pleased...tickled in fact LOL!!!

I don't know if it didn't make the list or if it was not tried. It does not go that low (even for a 3") but it is probably worth a try.

Reason I asked is that I had the FE83EN available locally, but it does look like it would be hard to get any kind of low end with that driver.

TC9FD is on the checked list as compatible. High Q likely indicates additional damping in the front -- i have yet to add a plan for that.
