Thinking of using 4" ID PVC as an enclosure for a ff85wk to sit on top of a bass cab. Front baffle bigger than pipe to help with baffle step? Sealed or ported?

I would say it is a bad idea, I have tried it. PVC case are only good for woofers. They cancel out the pressure because of symmetry, but a high frequencies the PVC case will just vibrate. Unless you have 1" Thick PVC pipe...You can try damp the cabinet with bitumen pads.
