Hi
I am working on a Fender Showman amp which belongs to a friend. He wants me to remove the vibrato from the second channel and make it just like the first normal channel. What I intend to do is remove the LDR and the 3 phase shift capacitors (0.2uf, 0.1uf, 0.1uf) from the feedback circuit. Will removing the LDR effect the bias to the phase inverter tube, because once I remove the LDR, the 2 terminal across the LDR will be open. Do I need to connect a resistor with a specific value across the 2 terminals to complete the circuit. Schematic attached. Please assist.
Thanks

He probably wants you to remove the trem since he read it will give more gain on that channel. To do that you have to disconnect the Intensity control. I would do that at the junction of the “other end” of the wire on the outer lug of the control pot. If you disconnect wire(s) only at the pot, you will be leaving an antenna on the signal. Many people install a switched pot or a switch instead, to keep the effect available as an option.
