female musicians-

Well, bluegrass is the "high, lonesome sound", the murder ballads from your islands are just too cheerful for us.

First time I heard Alison Krauss she was a little girl playing her fiddle, making the rounds of the folk festivals with her brother playing stringed instruments.

Philadelphia Folk Festival, '83 I think(ed.-my sister has corrected me-as usual). She has certainly aged better than I.

I picked up on Andrea and Joan several years ago and liked what they were doing. I still do. So I bought one of their albums (below) but was disappointed with the sound quality. Downloading a youtube audio in MP3 sounded better and this shouldn't be. I guess the engineer needs some lessons. BTW, Looks like Andrea's been swallowing those water melon seeds.

Did a search and was surprised to see that Ariana Grande hasn't been mentioned. She writes most of her own stuff and it's all mixed and mastered extremely well, which isn't surprising as she's worked with the who's who of the industry. Her new Dolby Atmos mixes sound especially good.
