I always liked JP better then Kessel. Many years ago I went to a local jazz bar here in New Jersey for a JP solo appearance. Stood outside in line in the cold waiting to get in. Got a good seat at the bar. Later, when Joe came out to play, he couldn't because he was too drunk. The dumb club owner left him at Newark airport all day to himself. So he just drank at he airport bar. They had to return everyone's cover charge. Big disappointment.
I found an unopened LP from a dearly departed relative: "Anna Moffo Sings Mozart Arias" - quite nice.
