Since I'm doing a boombox style setup where both divers are so close together it would I be worth going series, mono. It would save about $17 in crossover parts, the amp would be cheaper and I wouldn't have to build two separate crossovers.
Here's what I've come up with:
Added 1 extra tweeter in series
Added 1 extra woofer in series
Added amp side parallel resistor on woofer circuit to fix impedance (R8)
Can you see any issues with this design?

To check my understanding; when you say off set are you referring to the distance between the center on the tweeter and center of the woofer cone on the z axis (i.e backwards/forwards plane)?
Yes.
Usually some tweeking of the woofer circuit can flatten it out.
