FE206En based BLH speakers

I realize that the drawing was posted only to show the construction principle, but would the BLH for Beta 8 suit FE206En (or 208EZ for that matter)?

The first one ist from Issue 2/1996, there are plans etc. on the web:

I see, that there is filter involved. Is it necessity due to tat particular construction. My wish is to avoid filters.

German magazines often use a correction filter to flatten the response of a speaker. This happens at higher frequencies than the horn's operating range, they want to reduce the typical rising response of a full range driver. Up to you to include the filter or not.
