Anyone using the Fostex fe206e in a HT setup? Center, Mains and surrounds. The pros and cons if you would.
Speakers and cabinets plans will be from www.fostexspeakers.com. They obviously say their customers like this setup but I wanted to hear from others.

My concern would be putting a non-shielded driver next to a CRT in a HT setup unless you're not using that type of display device. I currently have a pair of FE207E TLs next to my TV and they perform nicely. I can imagine a full setup using these drivers would work very well.
I am using 208s in HT in 20L ported boxes and they are incredible at bringing alive everything on TV and DVDs with ESL like imaging. Bass f3 is about 85 hz so need a sub to compliment. Interference with TV screen is not an issue if about 0.5 to 1m away, which you need for good image separation otherwise whats the point anyway. In 20L you don' t have to justify a big ugly BLH only to get average bass, so go 20L and let the sub do the rest for HT.
I've got my plans for the sub from www.billfitzmaurice.com. Going to build the Tuba 18 over the holidays. Once again its a little different than what you normally use. Its an efficient setup just like a good full range speaker. I'll find out soon enough if they work together.
