thank you Sonidos, do you remember the price you paid for them?
About TAW, how do we order from them?

If that is tin all around the casing you can make a nice short circuit...
That cap is made in 1971. It is way over its useful life. Resins have been improved thankfully.
The genuine mains ones can split even when they have never had any voltage or even solder applied.

That's why I avoid MP capacitors 🙄.The genuine mains ones can split even when they have never had any voltage or even solder applied.
In the past WIMA made paper capacitors in their Tropydur and Durolit lines. All of them most probably have become leaky in the meantime and should be replaced if found in any old gear. But their recent film-foil (FK*) and metallized foil (MK*) series are out of question.
Best regards!
asuslover,
I reached them via email at sales@tawelectronics.com
I ordered 36 of .1uF/100V of the MKI2 at $0.242 each. However, that was 2011 pricing when they still had stock. I see they show them listed on their website as obsolete parts but you can contact them to see if they have any leftover stock.
