These are garbage. Don't bother. I bought a kit with a pair of these in along with some vifa tweeters(which are ok).
The ones I had looked even worse than the ebay photo, think they picked out a half decent looking pair for the photo's
These definitely don't use any original ss parts whatsoever. No grasshopper basket, no symmetric drive motor, no faraday ring, no variable rib spider.
Like all copies they've paid the most attention to the bit you see - the cone but even that's not ss either.
Save up for real ss or buy one of the other great drivers out there. Avoid these.
And there's the answer, AVOID!
Pretty much come to the conclusion they must be terrible already, but the above statement confirms from a user with experience.
The seller did reply to my message saying 'get a review of these and you'll sell loads'.
To be fair to him/her, here's the complete reply:
"hi, you know the scanspeaker most part is made in CN,they just assembled.
about this woofer ,it is order from a DIY brand.maybe it look like Scanspeaker.but ,it is not.the magnet and the frame not same.
about the sounds we do not need to proof.. old bird know how about the sound from its material. this speaker main market is China.not oversea
so.not need any body to reweiw or something else.you shold konw this speaker sell hundreds in CN,all buyer comment is ,this price.very worth~"
So, they confirm themselves that there are no Scan-Speak parts involved.
"about the sounds we do not need to proof" and
"old bird know about the sound frmo its material"
were my two favourite bits.
If I need cost effective drivers in the future, I'll stick to tang-band!
The most common use of cheap tweeters in SE Asia is to attract cave swiftlets to shoplot roof spaces, so that they make their very saleable nests"old bird know about the sound frmo its material"
Hi , need your help , he´s asking 100€ for the pair , fake ?

With shipping , about $345 vs $385 (free shipping) from Madisound. If it was me I'd pay the extra $40 for peace of mind and support in case problems occur. I'm in the US, so the prices would probably differ outside the US.
The price is for a pair, shipping included it's about half the price compared to here in Europe.
sometimes you get originals from known sellers in your country for less when they make an offer.
I got Mivoc 18inch bass drivers for half the price from the manufacturer himself.
Just was lucky to buy at the right time.
I got original Acoustic Research Hires loudspeakers AR15 new for a quarter of its new price.
These are really high end speakers.
I like the hard cones. Tweeter JBL alike with structured Titanium dome.

Developed, designed and hand-built in Denmark.
We never compromise on our product.
So if a supposed SS product arrives from China then it is a fake, and you'll never know if it performs as the real one.

Designed and assembled in Denmark. with parts from China, just as most everything that is made today. From the home page of Scan-Speak:

You think the cones, magnets, baskets, suspensions etc. are all produced in Denmark? 😉
So it might actually have all original parts, hard to tell without buying. The posted impedance curves are extremely similar between them, the T&S is also not miles apart, especially not if you consider the noraml 10% tolerance as acceptable.
Many manufacturers let drivers produce in china or other cheap labor countries and I'm convinced you can achieve excellent quality, no matter where. There are excellent copies of the original drivers, some are mediocre but still good for the money and there are copies that are just useful as paperweight.
From the pictures I can't tell the difference from the offer to the original. The price is within reasonable range to the original, so I'd assume they are genuine. But, TBH, the difference is that low I wouldn't risk it, And how long the delivery takes is also just a guesstimate. I've got some oders from China within 4 days, others took astonishingly long 7 months, though most came within 1 month.

The manufacturing of everything under the sun was moved to one location on the assumption that - it will >
1. increase the democratic world order foot print - and at the end of the day when this is achieved - a Judiciary respecting rights (not the present one of about 99.3% conviction rate) would be formed amongst many other high hopes and assumptions
Other reasons were ( 2. access to new markets 3. short time gains not looking at long term. 4. Over regulations and beurocracy driving up cost of production )
I think it would have been a bit better - if at all this movement of manufacturing and jobs if at all was necessary.... was diversified over several geographical locations, giving some other countries an equal opportunity, specially those with similar amount of people not in a good financial condition to help them too.
Sadly today the factory of the world is biting the hands that fed it - it is like when Windows 95 included I.E. for free & Netscape went out of business, & smartly have taken over control and access to most of the research and institutions all over the world with the money that the failed assumptions brought in.

I completely agree - but while you are perfectly right, that doesn't help the average user. I mean, I know of the problem and I am trying not to support that but at the same time I see a complete amplifier that sells for less than I could get the sole IC for. I really dread that development but I don't have the money to pay 150€ for the parts alone for an amp I can get on eBay etc for just 25-30€. I don't like the development but I am not in a position I can afford to vote with my money against it. Sad, very sad but unfortunately, it's the truth.
Cost of Labor being the only cause to - Move manufacturing is a way to ensure the common citizen is in a state of fore-ever guilt trip and a ploy touted by the loudest loudspeaker known - the mass media.
Cost of labor is fraction of the cost, the below factors play a far larger role towards product costs -
1) Additional laws and departments upon departments to enforce rules, if new rules are not made - there is no need of policy makers, and if new departments are not made to enforce the rules - how to provide the jobs promised during elections and a side hustle to own nephew and friends.
2) High cost of land , permits , infrastructure and construction to upscale factories - as mass production reduces costs.
3) Bureaucratic and lengthy procedures to import spares , minerals and materials. Concentration of procurement of key minerals not facilitated subsidized , made duty free etc.
4) Cost of energy
5) High taxes due to Cost of Social Benefits
6) Wrong subsidies.
7) Draconian Labor laws
8) Expensive interest on credit and difficulty in access to capital, entrepreneurs at the mercy of banks, favorable financial hand holding not available.
Most factories are highly robotic now in the chosen land and cost of labor is actually pretty high, high labor intensive production have mostly been moved out to Cambodia / Africa / Bangladesh etc.
