Doesn't matter I don't like sound of Elna caps accept for japanese Silmic 1 or Silmic super gold.
is it normal for a nichicon KG super through to rattle a bit like a can of spray paint when i shake it left and right? there clearly is air or maybe liquid between the ''core'' and the outer shell...they weight 47 grams...dunno if they are genuine
Never ever buy caps (or any other part) from eBay or any other general web vendors that are not approved components distributors. About 4 yrs ago during Covid I couldn’t get the 80V 27mfd high ripple current caps I needed for one of my commercial designs so took a flyer on some surplus caps from a US small US based supplier. The caps were marked Nichicon IIRC so I used them. The amp cam back a few months later leaking electrolyte all over the PSU, tops bulging etc. I should have known better. When I lived in Asia, I bought a DAC from a HK vendor on eBay. It arrived, I took one look and recognized it was fake - luckily I got my money back.
At Mouser, Digikey, RS, Avnet etc you pay higher prices, but you get quality!
