This is because the melting icecaps dump huge amounts of fresh water into the oceans, which stuffs up the currents and stops the warm water from the tropics circulating around northern American continent & Europe... Apparently this current has declined by 20% in the last 50 years or so...

A report in the New York Times a couple of years ago said that shipping companies are now applying for rights to shipping lanes that are now blocked by Arctic glaciers. The galciers are considerably smaller than they were 50 years ago, and the shipping companies are anticipating that the Arctic will be mostly water in a few decades.

I remember those hills, they are pretty nice... what a mad freeway you have tho!

Last year I cruised thru there in my 1983 Ford Fairmont wagon with 4 people on board, I didnt know if I would make the top!

But I liked Adelaide, had a good time there...

Good vineyards :clown: :cannotbe: :devily:

Also lots of pubs and bars I hardly remember...

LOTS of CURRENT = LOTS OF HEAT

Interestingly, the global warming effect could bring about BOTH extreme drought in Australia and extreme cold in Canada & Northern Europe.
Without the warming effect of the current, Canada and northern europe would turn into Siberia.

Ironically, global warming could bring about an ice age!

The meteorologists have discovered strange little "islands"
of hot spots.
This is due to the warming effect of the current.

The CURRENT in certain person's PASS amplifiers 😀
Do you really have to keep them ON for so long?
Don't you know that,
your "hot spots" creates cold in other places.

/halo - freezes - reduce your current

Yeah, they changed it a few years back to exclude the Devils Elbow, it was a "corner" thet turned around about 270 degrees on a slope. Trucks would always tip over and stuff.. 😛 They excluded this corner, BUT MADE IT STEEPER now all that happens is trucks brakes failing, and running off the road.. thats all.. 😀 lol
We went up into the hills with a group of about 10, in a 20 seater bus... Well, the speedlimit going up there like 80, but we were strugling to do 20... ITS JUST TOO STEEP!!! even in our 1991 Ford Falcon (wagon) we max out at about 70... 🙄 I think I'll buy a mini moke, and put a V8 engine in the back.. 😀 lol
