face plate color

What color do you like your face plate to be? Black or silver? Or other? (wood, stone, glass...)

I like wood,

All different types. I used to have and build black Face plates, then got fed up with the dark look. So I went silver all through 70-80's which seemed to be driven with fashion. Then I discovered gold and that was the way forward.

However I now like wood.
But guess what! speakers were available in dark finish but I wanted a light oak.

So there you go. I like wood it looks great and doesn't age quite like some of the black and silver.
Then again I also like glass..😀

So I guess its glass and Light Oak /Olive wood..etc
So my choice is other..

I like anodised aluminium in any colour except gold.

Gold "champagne" color is good. Black, with white lettering, is ok though.

I like the warmth and old school look of wood.. It's neat when you see modern electronics with a nicely done wood face plate or encased in wood, at least to me.. Then there are all the wood species and finishes to be had, so it's multiples of choices really.
