everything is doable, even Wooden Stove
though, considering differences in biasing (enhancement vs. depletion mode parts), that would be completely different amp
in short - plenty of work, which needs to be taken care of by someone else, not person needing to ask exact question you asked
besides that , I'm not expecting actual Performance of finished amp would justify amount of necessary complexity.....

Thanks for the reply. I'll wait for PaPa's version. Soon, I hope. He is a busy fellow, I know.everything is doable, even Wooden Stove

Eager to hear a single ended amp with these devices.
😉
How about perpetual fart? That would be a dangerous in combo with a wooden stoveeverything is doable, even Wooden Stove

Transient intermodulary distortion would probably be horrible, but third dominant until climax.

There are already amps designed specifically for the big SIT transistors. There are a couple active threads in this forum that include both active loaded and inductor loaded circuits that are worth looking at.
The F6 is an excellent amp in its own right. It is also supportive of careful modifications that can yield enhanced performance. My F6 build uses FQH44N10 Mosfets, the green LED bias modification and slightly higher power supply voltage. I also took the liberty of building a different unity gain buffer to drive the signal transformer; so there is that.

Yup, Mighty had a bunch of relevant mighty stuff, Ben Mah has built iteration(s), etc. almost too much to keep track of for a simple GH 🙂There are already amps designed specifically for the big SIT transistors. My recollection is that Nelson made the comment that devices with stronger Pentode characteristics were actually preferable in this circuit not triode devices.
A Mu Follower type of circuit with SIT on bottom and Mosfet on top would be suitable.
